Finally, there’s a small beach, about a 10-15 walk from the main property.

First opened in 2016, the Andaz Ottawa ByWard Market is the first Andaz hotel to open in the country. Set in the capital of Ottawa, the hotel is a short walk from Ottawa’s historical ByWard Market, where there’s shopping, food, and bars to enjoy. Parliament Hill, along with galleries and museums is also within easy reach.
Like most Andaz hotels in the world, every single one of the 200 guestrooms is decorated in a minimalist luxe vibe. There are floor-to-ceiling windows with lots of white and dark gray infused in the room.
A king bed dressed in 400-count linen and a walk-in closet offer comfort and function. Copper fixtures not only provide light but also serve as installation art. Meanwhile, bathrooms are equipped with soaking tubs and rainfall showerheads.
When it comes to food, Feast + Revel, headed by chef Stephen La Salle, is the go-to for unique Canadian dishes like bison skewers. A daily breakfast buffet is on offer here while Copper Spirits and Sights serve up cocktails and unique drinks.
Amenities are limited but ample. The hotel has a 24-hour gym on the 16th floor with huge windows overlooking the city below. There’s also a bright and airy lobby lounge where you can relax.
