First established in 1948, this chic art deco property was once known as The Escape Hotel in Fort Lauderdale. It was popular with hustlers, gamblers, pageant contestants, and athletes.
These days, the hotel has maintained its chill vibe. Situated just a block from the beach, it’s a short drive to various bars and cafes on the popular Las Olas Boulevard.

The Kimpton Surfcomber Hotel is a trendy and fun resort property with great access to the famous South Beach. While most Kimpton hotels are art deco in style, this one is more modern and trendy with beautiful sculptures of animals and fun surf-inspired room decor.
Starter rooms are on the small side at 260 square feet, but it’s enough to keep you comfy on the beach. The decor is fresh and beachy with contemporary amenities like a flatscreen TV, an iHome docking station, and trendy lamps. A king bed is fitted with white linen and a neutral-colored headboard while a busy, dark carpet is underfoot.
There’s a glass desk, chair, and a closet. Inside the closet are robes and a yoga mat – a constant presence in Kimpton hotels. Bathrooms tend to run on the smaller side too so only one person can use them at any given time. Probably one of the most famous luxury resorts in Las Vegas, the InterConinental The Venetian Resort has been around for more than 20 years.
Despite its age, it’s still a remarkable resort to visit. Guests staying on weekdays are often booked at The Venetian while the newer, The Palazzo, accommodates guests on weekend stays.
Standard rooms here measure 700 square feet with luxurious decor. A king bed comes with a plush duvet with several pillows. The sunken living rooms are a trademark for The Venetian with large sofas and chairs, dark wood furniture, and patterned carpets.

The Kimpton EPIC Hotel is a decidedly chic hotel for those who want to mix business and pleasure in one trendy atmosphere.
Located in downtown Miami, the hotel sits close to the water. It’s found inside the EPIC Residences & Hotel building and occupies floors 14 up to the 30th.
All rooms here are recently renovated so they have a fresh, current vibe. Entry-level rooms measure about 475 square feet with light wood floors, a big king bed, tables and chairs, and a balcony. Everything is kept neutral yet chic to appeal to the usual crowd of business and leisure travelers.
