Safe travels!
I own a St. Regis Deer Valley condo/residence, the property is ski in ski out, and exclusive larger property than Aspen. I would like to know why the property is offered at such a discount compared to the Aspen property. I know both Aspen and Deer Valley very well, became confused when Marriot took over Starwood. The Aspen rooms per night are much more than the Deer Valley room/lock outs, I sort of get it, it’s Aspen. The Deer Valley large condos rent for as little as 250 per night for 2 Queen and about the same for the master suite and kitchen. Is something wrong with the Deer Valley Propery. I attend the owner’s meetings, not much is discussed. Nothing about the relationship with Marriot Bonvoy. Just wondering what is acutually going on. Everything about the property changed when Marriot took over Starwood, St. Regis branding did not seem the same, has anyone else commented?
Hi Vicki,
In our opinion, it’s because Aspen has better name-brand recognition than Deer Valley. Most people immediately think of Aspen when planning a ski trip, which is why hotels there sell for a huge premium over other places.
