Our top choice for the best lounge in Atlanta is the Delta Sky Club in Concourse B. The Delta Sky Club in Concourse B is Delta’s flagship airport lounge, and it was unveiled in 2016.

You’ll find floor-to-ceiling windows with panoramic skyline views, a curated wine selection and wine wall crafted by Andrea Robinson, a variety of premium and complimentary options like cocktails, Sweetwater craft beer, and Starbucks coffee brewed fresh or dispensed from a Swiss coffeemaker.

You’ll also enjoy complimentary Southern fare from Linton Hopkins, as well as soups, salads, bread, and other food choices.

Boston Logan International Airport (BOS)

There’s a cocktail bar serving delicious drinks overlooking the Boston skyline, too. Also, Boston offers direct boarding on British Airways’ A380 via its new boarding gates, meaning you can wait until the absolute last minute to board your flight seamlessly.

Charlotte Douglas International Airport (CLT)

As far as amenities go, you will find 13,000 square feet of space with a capacity for more than 250 travelers. There’s a full cocktail bar, along with catering from renowned chef Joe Kindred. Favorites include buttermilk fried chicken, milk bread French toast, and more.

All around the lounge, there are coffee stations with high-tech automated machines from Franke. There are 3 phone rooms for extra privacy, plus a family room for the kids. The lounge also boasts large bathrooms, power and USB ports everywhere, fast Wi-Fi, and 2 shower suites.

Although there are no conference spaces or a business center available in the lounge, The Centurion Lounge always gets the amenities, décor, and atmosphere right.

The lounge has high ceilings for maximum brightness to complement the brilliant décor. This lounge has a full hot buffet curated by Dean Fearing, a full cocktail bar, and coffee machines dotted throughout the lounge.

There’s a business workstation with a few desktop computers and a printer, as well as a conference table for meetings and phone rooms for maximum privacy. It’s easy to freshen up when you make use of the private shower suites with a large mirror, L’Occitane amenities, towels, an en-suite toilet, a make-up mirror, a hairdryer, and more. Winner: The Centurion Lounge

Opening in 2021, The Centurion Lounge is our top pick, and it represents a huge upgrade compared to other lounges at Denver International Airport.

This Centurion Lounge measures up to around 14,650 square feet in size. Hot buffet food options showcase seasonal fare, including a full bar serving premium cocktails. There are also shower suites available, complete with separate toilets, a back-lit vanity, L’Occitane amenities, and more.

Plus, you’ll find semi-private workplaces, literature areas stocked with magazines and newspapers, a printer/fax machine, several personal computers for use, a family room, phone rooms, a quiet area with chaise lounges, and even a spa and wellness area.

Runner-Up: Delta Sky Club, Concourse A

The Delta Sky Club in Concourse A is our first choice because it offers the best choice of amenities out there. And it’s not exactly an intuitive pick because Denver isn’t one of Delta’s hubs.

This Sky Club has a generously sized seating area, complete with dining tables and chairs, as well as armchairs with USB and power outlets.

Detroit Metropolitan Airport (DTW)

Detroit Metropolitan Airport is the main international gateway in Michigan. And as a Delta hub, there are certainly lots of lounge options involving both the Delta Sky Club and other airlines!

The Delta Sky Club by Gate A38 is our top choice, thanks to some solid perks.

The main seating area consists of armchairs and sofa chairs in an oval seating corridor. There’s plenty of power and USB outlets spread out throughout the lounge for maximum connectivity.

This particular Sky Club has a buffet with choices like hardboiled eggs, fruit, scrambled eggs, bread, bagels, Starbucks coffee, a selection of self-serve drinks including premium alcohol, and more.

There are also shower rooms available with Malin+Goetz amenities. Lastly, the business center had individual cubicles with ergonomic chairs, a couple of printers, and a few magazine racks.

Runner-Up: Lufthansa Senator Lounge

The Lufthansa Senator Lounge is our runner-up choice because of the absence of the main amenities.

While the food and beverage selection is solid with tons of hot food and a lot of premium alcohol choices, you’ll find that the rest of the lounge is lackluster.

There is just 1 single restroom for men and 1 single restroom for women. There aren’t any showers either.

Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport (FLL)

Fort Lauderdale is a welcome alternative to the congested Miami International Airport. Although Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport is just 30 miles north of Miami International Airport, flying into or out of this airport can make a big difference in terms of the crowds and time savings.

Let’s look at the best lounges at Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport!

Winner: Delta Sky Club

The Delta Sky Club at Fort Lauderdale wins the crown for the top airport lounge in Fort Lauderdale.

Although the lounge is small, there are a bunch of comfortable armchairs you can relax in. There is a large counter along the back of the lounge where you can enjoy a selection of continental choices like sliced fruit, yogurt, bagels, bread, cereal, eggs, and more. You’ll also find soft drinks, alcohol, Starbucks coffee, a high-tech espresso machine, and a selection of Harney & Sons tea.

You’ll also find a cocktail bar with complimentary drinks, clean bathrooms, free Wi-Fi, and literature racks. There are no showers in this lounge, unfortunately.

Runner-Up: United Club

Fort Lauderdale’s United Club was renovated in 2019, and its amenities include free Wi-Fi and elevated food and drink selections.

There are comfortable leather armchairs dotted throughout the lounge, plenty of power outlets and USB outlets, and more.

The United Club offers hot soups, salad mixes, scrambled eggs, toast, cookies, muffins, and more in its food offering. Also, you can enjoy coffee from Illy, either from a freshly roasted carafe or a high-tech espresso machine.

Houston George Bush Intercontinental Airport (IAH)

Serving the Greater Houston area, Houston George Bush Intercontinental Airport (IAH) is one of the major international gateways in Texas.

This airport is a hub for United Airlines, and by extension, many Star Alliance partners. It’s located around 20 miles north of downtown Houston, conveniently accessed by suburbs like The Woodlands, Spring, and Conroe.

Winner: United Polaris Lounge

As you can imagine, United invested a ton into developing the most robust lounge offering in its hub at Houston.

The United Polaris Lounge is the flagship lounge offered by United Airlines in Houston, located near gate E12 in Terminal E. The lounge measures just over 12,500 square feet in size.

There are more power outlets and USB ports than there are seats, so connectivity will never be an issue.

The lounge features an à la carte dining room area with waiter service where you can order refined entrée, small bites, desserts, and more.

There are 2 quiet suites, which each consist of a private room furnished with a daybed and Saks Fifth Avenue bedding. The lounge offers spa shower suites with rain showers, Sunday Riley bath amenities, and Saks Fifth Avenue towels.

Beyond the excellent catering and the ability to take a private nap and shower, the United Polaris Lounge has restrictive access policies, which makes the lounge experience much more intimate.

Runner-Up: The Centurion Lounge

The Centurion Lounge is our runner-up choice at Bush Intercontinental Airport, but this probably doesn’t come as a surprise because it’s one of the most popular premium lounges in the airport.

Located in Terminal D (the international terminal) at IAH, the Centurion Lounge is one of the most well-appointed lounges at the airport. Filled with a variety of seating types and areas in a footprint of 8,500 square feet, you can expect quite a busy lounge at almost all hours.

The lounge offers large private shower suites with L’Occitane amenities to complement the walk-in rain shower and dual vanities.

As far as food and beverage go, this location doesn’t disappoint, thanks to a variety of hot and cold food buffet options curated by Justin Yu. Plus, there’s a fantastic cocktail bar.

However, the best part of the lounge is arguably the handful of chaise lounges near the back of the lounge where you can take a nap in the quietest section of the lounge.

Other highlights include a kids’ room, a business center with a printer and desktop computer, and an abundance of power and USB outlets.

John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK)

In the common area, there’s a hot buffet with an exceptional drink selection, including Arabic coffee, espresso, soft drinks, Dilmah tea, signature cocktails, and à la carte dining with waiter service!

But the absolute best lounge is actually hidden within this business and first class lounge, and it’s called The Residence Lounge.

The Residence is the world’s most incredible commercial flight experience where you have a private 3-room suite all to yourself, including a double bed, your own private shower suite, your own butler, and so much more.

Well, The Residence Lounge in JFK Airport gets you an exclusive, private suite at the airport, complete with white-glove butler service, including fine dining.

The suite consists of a large private room with 2 long couches, a private dining table, your own television, your own shower suite, and a private prayer room.

This is truly one of the most special lounge experiences you can have in the U.S.!

Runner-Up: Air France La Première Lounge & Spa

Our runner-up is the Air France La Première Lounge & Spa at JFK, which is offered exclusively to Air France first class passengers.

If you have access to the lounge, you’ll also enjoy an incredible ground experience, including a personal escort through security, a chauffeur directly onto the plane to catch your flight, and more.

But let’s get to the actual lounge. The La Première Lounge & Spa is located within the larger Air France lounge, which is located in JFK’s dreaded Terminal 1. The Air France lounge is accessible to business class passengers, among other groups.

You’ll be ushered into an understated, elegant, and totally private lounge, complete with couches, leather armchairs, informal dining tables, and awesome views of the apron.

The La Première Lounge & Spa has an impressive drink section, as well as an elevated fine yogurt section. In fact, you might be able to choose between Laurent-Perrier Cuvée Rosé or Laurent-Perrier Grand Siècle!

There’s more because you can enjoy waiter service and fine-dining, including choices like poached lobster tail, peppercorn prime beef filet, and herb-encrusted Chilean seabass, on top of a huge full menu.

Our favorite lounge in the entire airport is The Centurion Lounge. This lounge is located in the middle of Concourse D, just opposite to gate D1,

The whole lounge spans around 8,000 square feet and includes all the usual seating arrangements, including chairs, recliners, semi-private cube couches, built-in wall chairs, and a co-working table with rolling chairs.

The centerpiece of the lounge is the open-air dining room, complete with a hot buffet and a signature cocktail bar. The food is consistently delicious — the offerings here are designed by James Beard Award-nominated chef Kim Canteenwalla.

You’ll also find espresso machines, orange juice, tea, and water stations. There’s one well-appointed shower suite showcasing L’Occitane amenities.

There’s also a family room to keep the kids entertained, as well as a small business center with 2 computers and a printer.

Runner-Up: The Club at LAS Terminal 3 E Gates

The Club at LAS is our runner-up lounge, and there are 2 locations: 1 in Terminal 1 and another in Terminal 3. Our favorite is the larger and slightly busier lounge in Terminal 3’s E Gates.

it’s located near gate E2 in Terminal 3. The space is cleverly designed and split up into 5 areas:

1. The Productivity Zone
2. The Refresh Zone
3. The Relax Zone
4. The Replenish Zone
5. The Rest Zone

The Productivity Zone consists of plush cubicle chairs with swivel tables for your laptop, while the Refresh Zone is where you’d go to take a shower plane-spotting area with attractive views.

The Relax Zone houses a series of chaise lounges and armchairs with ottomans for a quick nap or comfortable lounging.

The Replenish Zone is the area near the food area with dining tables and chairs. The food choices include limited hot food choices like scrambled eggs, soup, sandwiches, desserts, a bread selection, salads, cold pasta, and snacks. There’s also a full bar in the Replenish Zone.

Unfortunately, there aren’t any good tarmac views like the sister lounge in Terminal 1, but this lounge has shower stalls to make up for it. However, these stalls aren’t private shower suites like the ones at The Centurion Lounge.

Los Angeles International Airport (LAX)

Los Angeles International Airport is one of the busiest airports in the U.S. Home to a ton of different airport lounges, including several famous outstation lounges, you’d successfully conclude that the premium cabin demand here is very high.

And although the main Flagship Lounge has a self-serve hot food buffet area, a self-serve cocktail bar, a wine table, and a grilled cheese station, a quiet room with chaise lounges, a business center, and 8 stunning shower suites with C.O. Bigelow amenities, it actually gets even better.

Although the drink selection is varied and supported by an artisanal bartender, one of the biggest highlights is the Krug Champagne that is offered. This is an amazing brand of Champagne that is superior to some airline first class Champagne offerings!

It doesn’t end there because the à la carte menu is absolutely phenomenal. With favorites like truffled mac and cheese, miso-glazed Chilean sea bass, and a cracked peppercorn petite beef filet, you’ll absolutely stuff yourself to the brim in this lounge.

Best of all? The Flagship First Dining area is a ridiculously exclusive and peaceful oasis, especially compared to the sometimes hectic Flagship Lounge just outside the glass doors. And it’s easier than you might think to access these incredible experiences!

Runner-Up: Qantas International First Lounge

The Qantas International First Lounge is our runner-up choice at LAX, and it’s located on Level 5 of Tom Bradley International Terminal at LAX, which is where most international flights depart from.

The lounge mainly looks like a long hallway with a variety of seating options and amenities throughout.

At the back of the lounge are the famous dining room and long bar, which is where you can enjoy freshly prepared à la carte food and craft cocktails. Fan favorites include the salt and pepper squid, the Croque madame, and the seared seasonal fish. Don’t forget dessert, including the famous key lime pie!

Dotted around the lounge are 3 self-service drink areas, which each have espresso machines, tea facilities, light snacks like cookies, as well as filtered water.

There are a total of 7 shower suites and 3 private bathroom stalls. The shower suites are simple and showcase mandarin and sweet orange amenities from ASPAR.

Lastly, there’s a printer, a few conference rooms, and a magazine aisle.

The signature of the lounge is the sit-down dining experience with waiter service where you can enjoy refined courses and virtually any cocktail you would want.

However, there are no areas to rest or nap, as well as no true business center workspaces. Lastly, the shower suites are much more functional than stylish, so keep that in mind.

Miami International Airport (MIA)

The Flagship Lounge at Miami is located nearby gate D30 and consists of a gigantic space of 29,000 square feet.

In the middle of the lounge is a large bar with high chairs overlooking the concourse via floor-to-ceiling glass windows. There is also a media room, which is the only place you’ll find a TV in the lounge.

In addition, there is a quiet room with daybeds and semi-private tall-back chairs.

There’s also an abundance of ordinary armchairs throughout the lounge,

The main food area consists of multiple refrigerators with soft drinks, a self-serve alcohol area including wine, liquor, and Champagne. The food section is a large buffet area serving plenty of hot and cold food options and a live cooking station making arepas.

The bathrooms and showers are beautifully designed with contemporary design elements and several sleek, dark gray tones. There are 6 shower suites, each with a walk-in shower, a rain shower head, a shower wand, C.O. Bigelow amenities, as well as a private toilet and vanity.

However, a small portion of guests will also have access to the Flagship First Dining experience.

Flagship First Dining is a facility nestled inside the Flagship Lounge, and it consists of a staffed cocktail bar and a total seating capacity of 20 people. It’s incredibly well-staffed with a host, a bartender, at least 2 servers, and kitchen staff.

Designed to resemble a fine dining restaurant experience, the food and beverage program is phenomenal. Popular choices include crispy pork belly empanadas, braised pulled pork shank, carne asada, tuna poké, dessert flan, signature cocktails, and more.

And the cherry on the top is that the Flagship First Dining space is serene and ultra-private so you might also consider just spending your time here even after you’ve finished your meal.

Runner-Up: The Centurion Lounge

Our runner-up lounge in MIA is The Centurion Lounge, which is also located in the Terminal D concourse. To access the lounge, you’ll need to take an elevator to the 4th floor, which can be found near gate D12.

The lounge spans around 8,000 square feet. This particular lounge contains a long, narrow hall with seating next to floor-to-ceiling windows with fantastic tarmac views. There are plenty of seats, including ordinary armchairs, recliners, and more.

The dining area contains more than a dozen informal dining tables, a full cocktail bar, and a full buffet with hot and cold options.

One of the biggest highlights is that this lounge has an Exhale Spa, which allows you to get a complimentary 15-minute experience including massages and hand treatments.

In addition, you’ll find a shower suite with L’Occitane amenities and a kids’ room.

The main difference between the Flagship Lounge and The Centurion Lounge at MIA is that you’ll get a more refined and private experience at the former, thanks to the sit-down à la carte service among other amenities.

Minneapolis-Saint Paul International Airport (MSP)

Minneapolis-Saint Paul International Airport is a well-known Delta hub.

However, our top lounge pick might surprise you!

Winner: The Escape Lounge

Our favorite lounge in MSP airport is The Escape Lounge, which is a modern space located in Terminal 1. It can be reached by going up the stairs or elevator just before the entrance to Concourse E.

This lounge has a variety of seating options, a literature shelf, super-fast Wi-Fi, self-serve snack jars throughout the lounge, and a dessert and coffee bar with espresso machines and soft drinks.

In addition to that, there is a buffet area with decent hot food options and a staffed cocktail bar.

Unfortunately, this lounge doesn’t have its own bathrooms, so you’ll have to leave the lounge to use the restroom. There are no showers, either.

Overall, it’s a quiet space you can visit to distance yourself from others, enjoy a bite and a drink, and enjoy some peace. Most importantly, the lounge is kept very clean.

Runner-Up: Delta Sky Club, Concourse F/G

At first glance, you might think that the Delta Sky Club is the best lounge at MSP, considering how much of a Delta hub the airport is.

Upon closer inspection, you’d find that the Delta Sky Club actually falls behind The Escape Lounge. Why?

The Delta Sky Club is known to be crowded, offer subpar food and drink, and doesn’t offer the service that other Sky Clubs do.

The offering here is much more abbreviated than a usual Delta Sky Club, as there are no showers here, either.

However, you will still be able to enjoy a solid work station with ergonomic chairs and dedicated desks, a selection of grab-and-go foods like yogurt and granola bars, and some self-serve alcohol.

New York-LaGuardia Airport (LGA)

LaGuardia Airport in New York’s Queens borough has one of the worst reputations in the entire airport scene.

And while this was arguably deserved in the past, it is undergoing an $8 billion makeover, and it’s rapidly proving naysayers wrong.

Winner: The Centurion Lounge

Our favorite lounge in LGA is The Centurion Lounge located in the Central Terminal. Interestingly, this airport lounge is landside, instead of airside, which means pre-security.

The Centurion Lounge at LGA is on the 3rd floor between Concourses B and C. The layout consists of 2 main rooms connected by a corridor with in-wall seating.

There are leather armchairs, a coworking office table with rolling chairs, a bar counter with high chairs overlooking the tarmac, as well as many dining tables near the buffet area.

As far as amenities go, you’ll find a staffed cocktail bar and a food menu architected by Cedric Vongerichten, who happens to be Jean-Georges Vongerichten’s son.

You’ll also find a hydration station with an espresso machine, Twinings tea, and more. Bathrooms are gender-specific, and you’ll even find a small putting green to practice en route to your destination!

Lastly, there’s a business center with 2 desktop computers and a printer. Power outlets and USB ports are abundant throughout the lounge. Wi-Fi is very fast and consistent throughout the lounge.

Unfortunately, there are no kids’ rooms or showers available at this lounge.

Runner-Up: United Club

The redesigned United Club presents a massive upgrade compared to the old offering. Located in Terminal B’s Eastern Concourse, this lounge has 10,500 square feet of space.

Seating consists of armchairs, as well as loungers, dining tables and couches, as well as bar stools.

The buffet area offers a spread of soups, salads, snacks, desserts, bagels, and sandwiches, in addition to the usual Illy espresso machines, the Coca-Cola freestyle machine, and standard alcohol.

This United Club offers free Wi-Fi, a printer, a wellness room for privacy, and 2 fully-enclosed phone rooms. Sadly, there are no shower suites or stalls in this lounge.

Despite being a fraction of the size, Newark handles nearly as many flights as JFK!

Let’s get into our favorite lounges at Newark Liberty International Airport.

Winner: United Polaris Lounge

Our absolute favorite lounge in EWR is the United Polaris Lounge. United Airlines carries a whopping 68% of all passengers at Newark International Airport, so, as you can imagine, Newark is a huge United hub.

Luckily, United invested a huge sum of money to build a 27,000-square-foot space with top-notch amenities for its exclusive guests.

The lounge is located just past security on the left-hand side. When you enter the lounge, there’s a lot of seating areas with many seating types, including open armchair seating, cubicle seats resembling a plush work desk, as well as semi-private partitions for more isolation.

There are a handful of private phone booths enclosed with floor-to-ceiling glass, 10 nap rooms with chaise lounges and Saks Fifth Avenue bedding, and 10 shower suites with Sunday Riley amenities.

The amenities don’t end there because you’ll also find a full-length long bar with complimentary premium cocktails, à la carte dining service with chef creations, a wide variety of snacks, and a lot of self-serve drinks like coffee, fruit-infused water, and much more.

Lastly, there’s also a full buffet with hot and cold options!

The only thing this lounge doesn’t have is complete privacy in the nap rooms. The nap rooms aren’t behind any doors but are instead separated with large walls in between each nap room and located in the quietest part of the lounge.

Runner-Up: Virgin Atlantic Clubhouse

Virgin Atlantic has a reputation for being one of the most fun airlines in the world. Whether it’s with its bold colors or exceptional service, the U.K.-based airline has attracted a wide variety of loyalists.

To that end, Virgin Atlantic offers an exceptional lounge at Newark Liberty International Airport called the Virgin Atlantic Clubhouse.

This lounge is located in Terminal B just past TSA opposite the Galleries Lounge from British Airways and is just 5,000 square feet large. But great things can come in small packages because this lounge is our second-favorite option at EWR.

This lounge has bold seating styles, ranging from coffee tables to long in-wall sofas to elegant dining tables.

The biggest highlight of the lounge isn’t the fact that there are plenty of power outlets and bold colors everywhere, but how Virgin Atlantic has completely removed buffet service and only offers à la carte dining.

You can order eggs benedict or savor a classic Clubhouse British Breakfast for breakfast or check out the staffed cocktail bar for a glass of your favorite alcoholic beverage.

You’ll also be pleased to find out that the Virgin Atlantic Clubhouse at EWR has clean bathrooms, 2 shower suites with top-shelf Bumble and Bumble amenities, a media room with TVs, and a literature selection.

While the lounge is not big by most measures, it can sometimes get crowded. Also, the Wi-Fi can be spotty at times.

Orlando International Airport (MCO)

Orlando International Airport is the busiest airport in Florida with over 50 million passengers every year.

It’s located in Central Florida, and it’s a major nexus for theme park tourism. MCO doesn’t have many international long-haul flights and instead focuses primarily on regional air traffic.

Winner: American Airlines Admirals Club

Our top choice for an airport lounge in MCO is American Airlines’ Admirals Club. This bright, airy, and modern space is located after security near gate 55, and it was opened in early 2017.

The entire lounge is centered around a spiral staircase, and the main dining area is located on the bottom floor. The dining options consist of mostly cold food basics and a couple of hot food choices.

The lounge also has a cocktail bar, self-serve hydration areas with coffee and tea, a Coca-Cola freestyle machine, and separate bathroom stalls with C.O. Bigelow toiletries.

Wi-Fi tends to be decent, and the lounge is known to be almost spotless most of the time.

Sadly, there are no showers in this lounge.

Runner-Up: The Club at MCO, Terminal B (Gates 70-99)

The Club operates 2 lounges at MCO, and you’ll want to make sure you’re visiting the location in Terminal B near gates 70-99.

You’ll find a huge space with no shortage of seating areas as well as a dining area with a cocktail bar and a buffet.

In addition to cold delights like wraps and sandwiches, you’ll find a selection of hot foods including curry chicken, alfredo pasta, and rice.

You’ll also find a pre-flight snack selection of gummy bears, trail mix, and more.

There’s also a bar, tea and coffee stations, free Wi-Fi, a work area with ergonomic chairs, a private relaxation area, and even a video game room!

Philadelphia International Airport (PHL)

The British Airways First Lounge is similar in concept to the American Airlines Flagship First Dining experience in the sense that it’s a separate area within the lounge reserved only for first class passengers.

The British Airways First Lounge is located within the Galleries Club Lounge in Terminal A after security.

The larger Galleries Club lounge has a number of armless accent chairs, as well as ordinary armchairs, a varied self-serve bar, and a snack section.

The lounge also has a business center with 3 desktop computers and a printer, restrooms, a hot buffet, and a Culinary Theater menu of small bites you can customize and get freshly made.

Once you enter the British Airways First Lounge, you’ll find a designated dining area with à la carte fine-dining service. Popular favorites include racks of lamb with grilled asparagus, rich chocolate desserts, and much more.

Our second-favorite lounge at PHL is one that is actually quite complementary to the British Airways First Lounge.

Depending on what your style is, you may actually prefer The Centurion Lounge over the British Airways First Lounge.

Whereas the British Airways First Lounge is focused on privacy and an elegant experience with its à la carte dining and waiter service, The Centurion Lounge is focused on a lively social experience.

Located near gate A14 on the west side of Terminal A, this lounge has all the usual Centurion Lounge amenities.

These include lots of lounge chairs, semi-private cubicles, leather armchairs, and dining table setups.

The main dining area has a hot buffet along one wall and a staffed cocktail bar along the opposite wall.

The mixology is exceptional at PHL’s Centurion Lounge, and you can either order from a Jim Meehan-curated menu or request custom cocktails to your liking.

The buffet is masterminded by Chef Michael Solomonov featuring top Israeli favorites!

The Centurion Lounge at PHL also has a shower suite with L’Occitane amenities, free Wi-Fi, and gender-divided bathrooms.

Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport (PHX)

One of the most popular airports in the U.S. and the largest airport in Arizona is Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport.

This airport is known to be a hub for American Airlines, which accounts for 37% of the airport’s entire passenger traffic.

Let’s take a look at the top lounges in PHX!

Winner: The Centurion Lounge

PHX is one of the newest airports to be graced with a new Centurion Lounge, and it’s located in Terminal 4 across from gate B22.

In addition, casual dining tables and in-wall couches span the remainder of the lounge.

The main dining area has a hot food buffet by Doug Robson and a cocktail bar with a menu by Jim Meehan. You’ll also find a drink station with Franke espresso machines, Twinings tea, and fruit-infused water.

You’ll also find an additional room with a lot of tables, top counter seating along the glass windows for plane spotting, and a few booths.

The lounge comes with free high-speed Wi-Fi, plenty of outlets, and a single shower suite with L’Occitane amenities.

This lounge checks off all the boxes and gets the basics right, but there is no business center, phone booth, conference rooms, or printers in this lounge.

Runner-Up: Delta Sky Club

The Delta Sky Club is a somewhat unintuitive lounge to be at the top of our list in PHX. Delta Sky Club, comparatively, doesn’t operate as many flights as American Airlines and Southwest Airlines in PHX.

However, the Delta Sky Club has some impressive amenities, which is why it’s our runner-up choice.

This Delta Sky Club is in Terminal 3 located near gate F8.

The lounge is well-lit with recessed lights, unique artwork, a variety of chairs, and an overall polished feel.

Although not as substantial as The Centurion Lounge, the Delta Sky Club’s food and beverage choices consist of soups, pasta, salads, sandwiches, snacks, antipasti, and a full bar. In addition, you’ll find a soda machine, fruit-infused water dispensers, coffee, and tea.

Although there are no showers, the bathrooms are clean and modern with MALIN+GOETZ amenities.

Salt Lake City International Airport (SLC)

Salt Lake City is the largest airport in Utah, and it’s the closest airport for more than 2.5 million people.

This airport is a major hub for Delta Air Lines, and it offers nonstop flights to places like the Netherlands, France, Canada, Mexico, and London.

Winner: Delta Sky Club

Delta’s brand-new Sky Club is a testament to the airline’s commitment to Utah’s largest airport.

The brand-new Delta Sky Club is the best (and only!) airport lounge in SLC airport, and it measures a jaw-dropping 28,000 square feet large.

Located in the new terminal inspired by the canyon landscape of Utah, the Delta Sky Club at SLC is the airline’s largest and self-dubbed flagship lounge.

The lounge is filled with artwork and has crisp, new furnishings everywhere.

There is a ton of seating ranging from low armchairs to couches, dining chairs with tables, as well as recliners, coworking tables, and workstations.

One of the highlights of this Sky club is the individual ergonomic desks with sliding tables, footrests, desk lamps, storage cubbies, privacy partitions, and electrical outlets.

Our favorite airport lounge at San Diego airport is the Delta Sky Club. Located just past the security checkpoint, the Delta Sky Club is accessible by taking an escalator up just to the right of the Sunset Cove dining area.

The lounge starts with a cocktail bar and some dining seating. You’ll also find an open-air pavilion overlooking the rest of the terminal with rocking chairs.

There are a variety of seating options, including armchairs, high-top seating, booth seating, and work desks with ergonomic chairs at the business center.

The buffet consists of hard-boiled eggs, various cereals, Chobani yogurts, bagels, muffins, and muesli morning rounds. Also, you’ll find a Starbucks espresso machine and coffee servers with Starbucks drip coffee.

Unfortunately, there are no showers in this lounge, but it might not make a huge difference if you’re not arriving from or departing on a long-haul flight.

Runner-Up: United Club

The United Club is located just next to the Delta Sky Club at SAN. To access the United Club, you’ll want to turn left at the top of the escalator instead of turning right for the Delta Sky Club.

This stylish lounge is petite, so it might feel crowded at times. The lounge has an open-air pavilion with views of the terminal, and the lounge is furnished with armchairs, recliners, as well as bar-style seating.

This lounge has a cocktail bar that offers complimentary well drinks, wines, beers, and soft drinks. You’ll also enjoy a selection of generic breakfast foods, snacks, salads, coffee, teas by Numi, and more.

Our favorite lounge at SFO is the United Polaris Lounge. This lounge is located in International Terminal G, just after security on the right-hand side.

The Polaris Lounge is nearly 30,000 square feet large, which makes it one of the biggest lounges in the world.

The Polaris Lounge is arranged across 2 stories, with the majority of the lounge being on the top floor.

The first floor houses the showers and nap rooms. This area feels a lot like a hotel, and it’s significantly quieter than the second floor.

There are 8 private shower suites with excellent water pressure, Sunday Riley bath amenities, and luxurious Saks Fifth Avenue towels.

There are 5 nap rooms with chaise lounges and Saks Fifth Avenue blankets.

The first floor also has armchair seats alongside the windows, cubicles, recliners, a small snack bar with soft drinks and water.

The second floor is where most of the lounge is located. This area has dining tables with booth seating, semi-private cubicle seats, armchairs, and an additional room with couches and dining tables.

The second floor also has great views of Terminal G and Terminal 3. There are also a few private rooms to make phone calls, as well.

Of course, there is a fully-staffed cocktail bar with complimentary premium cocktails and an extensive alcohol menu. The lounge has a delicious à la carte menu with waiter service.

Coffee is by illy here, and you’ll find a full buffet in addition to the à la carte service.

Runner-Up: Cathay Pacific First and Business Class Lounge

SFO’s Cathay Pacific First and Business Class Lounge is our runner-up favorite. And while you might be wondering why a first class lounge from a top-notch airline like Cathay Pacific doesn’t take the top spot, it’s pretty simple to see why.

The SFO lounge is an outstation lounge, and as a result, it simply can’t hold a candle to its lounges in Hong Kong. Still, this outstation lounge takes our runner-up spot!

Located in International Terminal A, this lounge is easy to find, thanks to much-appreciated signage and vintage Cathay Pacific photos along the corridor leading to the lounge.

Sadly, this lounge is shared with first class and business class passengers, so you’ll be mingling with business class passengers if flying first class.

There are numerous seating areas and types, including armchairs, recliners along the window overlooking the apron, semi-private cubicles, a separate dining area with cushioned stools, dining tables and chairs, and more.

This lounge also has a business center with 7 desktop computers, a printer, and glass partitions between each station.

The buffet consists of several Western and Asian hot food selections, as well as a self-serve bar with Champagne, juice, hard liquor, a wine selection, and more.

There’s also a kitchen and noodle bar serving freshly prepared à la carte favorites like wonton noodles, dan dan noodles, and more.

The lounge also contains beautiful, marble-clad shower suites with private toilets, vanities, hairdryers, and toiletries like shampoo, conditioner, and body wash.

Our top lounge at Seattle International Airport is the British Airways First Class Lounge, which is nestled inside the greater British Airways lounge.

The lounge is located near gate S10. The main lounge has a capacity of 110, while the first class lounge has just 20 seats, plus its own entrance. As you can imagine, the First Class Lounge is much more private and exclusive.

While most of the amenities are in the main lounge, you can spend most of your time in the first class lounge for maximum privacy.

The business class lounge has free Wi-Fi, views of the runway, a business center, a literature aisle, a staffed bar, a buffet, shower suites with Elemis toiletries, and more.

Runner-Up: Delta Sky Club, Concourse A

Our choice for the second-best lounge at SEA is the Delta Sky Club located in Concourse A just next to gate A1.

Although this lounge tends to attract more travelers, the entire space spans an impressive 21,000 square feet across 2 stories and has the capacity for more than 400 guests!

The lounge has floor-to-ceiling windows with tons of natural light, amazing views of Mount Rainier, and a ton of outlets.

There’s a full bar with complimentary and premium alcohol, plus snacks and light meals by Seattle’s Ethan Stowell. The food options include soups, pasta, cold snacks, bread, crudités, and of course, a selection of beverages like fresh Starbucks coffee, tea, and soft drinks.

There are also 6 shower suites with MALIN+GOETZ bath amenities, free Wi-Fi, workstations, and even an Asanda Spa that offers facials, massages, and treatments for an extra charge.

Washington Dulles International Airport (IAD)

Washington Dulles International Airport is the capital’s international gateway. There are a ton of unique international flights to/from Washington Dulles, including a 5th freedom flight to Accra, Ghana on South African Airways!

Winner: British Airways The Concorde Room

British Airways has a large lounge in Washington Dulles airport, but the most special part of the lounge is The Concorde Room.

The lounge is located near gate B50 in Terminal B, and it has plenty of seating areas, power ports, and fast Wi-Fi.

The Concorde Dining Room is a separate area with its own wine gallery, bar, and rosewood- and leather-encased dining areas! The dining room has table seating, as well as booths with USB and power sockets.

Once your luggage has been stowed by the host, you’ll sit down and enjoy a luxurious meal service, including scallops, steak, poached pear tarts, and so much more. Be sure to enjoy a generous pour of Champagne, too!

In addition, you’ll find some more private tables at the business center, along with a printer.

Etihad Airways has 3 U.S. lounges, and one of them is in Washington Dulles, near gate A14. The lounge is beautifully decorated and spacious with an upper and lower floor.

This lounge has high ceilings and a capacity for 65 people, though it most likely won’t ever get completely full.

Once you enter the lounge, your luggage will immediately be stowed away by the staff, and you’ll be offered dates and Arabic coffee.

In addition to a full buffet, there’s a business center, a staffed cocktail bar, plenty of couches and chairs, and more.

Other amenities include a kids’ play area, shower rooms inside the main bathrooms, bath amenities from London-based The White Company, prayer rooms, and espresso machines.

There is also a second-floor area that’s reserved for first class passengers, but this is almost certainly for extra privacy. The upstairs area has a TV room, a few chairs, sofas, side tables, separate bathrooms, and additional prayer rooms.

Unfortunately, the Etihad Airways First and Business Class Lounge no longer offers à la carte meal service, which is why it’s our runner-up choice.
