Found just west of Vail and sprawled all over the Lionshead Circle, this imposing resort looks like a haven in the middle of this beautiful nature escape.

The Hythe was once known as the Vail Marriott Mountain Resort. After a $40 million renovation, it also received a brand new name, elevating the resort into a brand new luxury retreat on par with neighboring hotels like The Ritz-Carlton Club and Four Seasons. 

The resort has 344 rooms on the property, along with 22 suites and 16 luxury condominiums you can rent. It’s a great escape for families looking to enjoy a weekend or week-long trip on the slopes. Sitting right in front of Snowmass ski mountain, The Viewline Resort Snowmass recently underwent a renovation and has been renamed The Westin Snowmass Resort.

Beginner skiers who need to attend ski school can take the gondola outside the hotel and to the base of the mountain, making it a ski-in/ski-out resort. The resort is just a 20-minute drive to Aspen. However, be warned, that Aspen mountain is for intermediate to expert skiers so you’re better off staying near Snowmass if you’re new to skiing.

The hotel from the outside doesn’t look as extravagant, but once you enter, the place is massive and striking. The rooms are spacious and spread out over 8 floors of the building.

Each room comes with a desk, large king or queen-sized beds, wooded headboards, balcony or terrace with a view, leather chairs, television set, roll-in shower, air conditioning, a minibar, microwave, coffeemaker, refrigerator, whirlpool tub in some, DVD players, stylish bathrooms, and more.

If a strict hotel experience isn’t what you’re after, Vail Residences at Cascade Village might be up your alley. These private condominiums and homes are affiliated with the Grand Hyatt Vail, giving you a chance to live in an actual home setting instead of a hotel, during your ski trip.

These private vacation rentals offer direct access to the slopes thanks to an on-property chairlift. Vail Residences is located at the bottom of Vail Mountain, and the homes are beautifully furnished with countless luxurious amenities to ensure your stay becomes truly special.

Each home is equipped with a kitchen, an in-unit laundry, parking, as well as full access to resort facilities. 10. Waldorf Astoria Park City

This gorgeous hotel is only an hour’s drive away from Burlington International Airport. From the hotel, downtown Stowe is only 10 minutes away, and so is Stowe Golf Course.
