The Details: Las Ventanas al Paraiso vs One&Only Palmilla

Las Ventanas al Paraiso

Las Ventanas al Paraiso, which means “windows to paradise” in Spanish, is precisely that. It combines the tropical charm of Los Cabos plus the destination-specific luxury and exclusiveness only a Rosewood Resort can offer.

Location

Nestled at the tip of the Baja peninsula, this seaside resort is between San José del Cabo and Cabo San Lucas. Because of its unique location, Las Ventanas al Paraiso gives its guests the best of both worlds: stunning mountain and desert views on one side and arresting sea views on the other.

Room

There are 84 suites and villas, all exquisitely designed to take full advantage of the stunning natural setting and panoramic views.

One of the most outstanding characteristics of Las Ventanas al Paraiso is its approach to landscaping and architecture. Luxury is inspired by the location’s geography, culture, and history. Just like true Rosewood Resort fashion, the resort incorporates local craftsmanship and motifs into its interiors. Expect plenty of colorful tiling, regional artwork, and stone carpets in Las Ventanas al Paraiso.

The entry-level Junior Suite affords you 960-1,400-square feet of elegant expression. It includes a spacious jacuzzi tub, separate shower, and a private patio or rooftop terrace.

The 2- and 3-bedroom Gardenview and Oceanview Suites offer 2,100-3,900-square feet of contemporary luxury living, making it ideal for families or friends traveling together. Each suite has a living room, full kitchen, and private terrace.

The one to three-bedroom Oceanview and Oceanfront Villas range from 3,900 to 7,800-square feet. They come decked with walk-in closets, luxury bathrooms with indoor and outdoor showers, a private infinity pool, Jacuzzi, a pantry, an outdoor dining area, and an expansive patio.

Other luxury touches include Deluxe Bulgari bath amenities, high-speed Wi-Fi, a DVD library, and an iPod docking station (upon request). All come with bottled water, fresh fruit replenished daily, and a unique in-room tequila welcome.

The 12 iconic Oceanfront and Beachfront Signature Villas are located on a quieter side of the resort for utmost privacy and indoor-outdoor living spaces. Guests can also choose villas with either a wellness or media room.

Other special touches include a private fireplace, garment pressing, customized mini bar, Nespresso machine, telescope and binoculars, a customized digital music library from your villa iPad, bed linen and pillow selection menu, and even a bath butler with a customized bath amenity menu.

For more extended stays, guests can choose to reside in their one to three-bedroom residences. Their impressive 8,200-square feet Penthouse Rooftop Signature Residence comes with luxurious touches such as a spiral suitcase, private elevator, and a wraparound terrace.

The 28,000 square feet Ty Warner Mansion is the ultimate standout for exclusive luxury. It’s outfitted with specially commissioned artworks, textiles, and other decorative works from owner Ty Warner. Unwind inside their dual oceanview master suites with 20-foot high ceilings, a cinema room, a tequila library, a hacienda-style kitchen, and a 328-foot beachfront infinity pool.

Amenities

Las Ventanas al Paraiso is a gateway to an aquatic wonderland with an impressive eight pools to choose from. Their infinity-edge pool is perfect for Instagram snapshots, thanks to its smooth curves and stunning, unobstructed views of the sea as its backdrop.

Their Lazy River is the first one in Baja California Sur. Both adults and children alike will enjoy its sensory journey. As you slowly float down the waterway, admire the music and works of art along the way.

For serious rejuvenation, head to their Four Elements spa. Their holistic treatments are inspired by Baja’s healing traditions and the four elements. Local ingredients such as “moonflower,” honey, and tequila, are used.

Guests can also get pampered at the resort’s salon. Services can be as simple as a mani-pedi or complete makeovers that include hair cuts and makeup for special occasions.

The spacious 2,900-square feet fitness center is complete with state-of-the-art gym equipment. Personal trainers, yoga, and Pilates instructors are there for any of your fitness needs. Fitness classes and private sessions are available.
